FAQs
+ What is the Yellow Vibrations Therapist Matchmaking Process?
- The first step is to purchase the therapist matchmaking package. You can find that here. Before you complete your purchase, you'll be asked to complete a form with your name and email, so we know where to send your client survey.
After your purchase, you will receive access to the client survey and your personal client portal (this is where you will view documents and review therapist recommendations). The client survey is where you will provide the information that I need to help you best! Once your client survey is complete, you will schedule a 20-minute consultation to review your responses together and answer any questions you may have.
After the consultation, the therapist matchmaking search begins. I will vet each potential match to ensure they are the best available fit for your schedule, budget, needs, and being. If all of your criteria cannot be met, we'll work together to find the best solution.
As therapist matches are confirmed, we post them in your client portal for your review. A therapist’s schedule can change quickly, so we ask that you review your matches within 48 hours. We provide up to 3 matches.
+ How long does the process take?
On average, the therapist matchmaking process timeline takes between 2 weeks and a month. However, it can vary based on what you are looking for and where you are located. We provide weekly progress updates to keep you in the loop.
+ How do you find and vet therapists?
We find therapists using therapist directories and mental health provider directories provided by insurance companies. To find the right therapist we go deeper. We contact and have a conversation with each potential therapist match to ensure they fit your schedule, take your insurance, and are within your budget, and that they have experience with the challenges you are facing.
+ What happens if I am interested in a therapist that shares my identity, but no one is available?
If you are looking for a therapist who shares your identity (a Black woman therapist looking for a Black woman, a Trans person looking for a Trans therapist), but that doesn’t appear to be currently available, our next step is to look for culturally competent allies and to ask them to share what their experiences have been working with clients that share your identity. We share these responses with you to ensure you feel safe and comfortable.
+ What happens if I don’t like my therapist match?
We understand that therapy is a very personal and vulnerable process, and some of the fit comes down to chemistry. If you do not like your therapist matches we will work together to discuss your concerns and provide another match. This is part of the reason we provide up to three matches.
